May 25, 2014 - Sixth Sunday of Easter - "The Spirit of Truth"

Gospel jn 14:15-21

Jesus said to his disciples:
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
And I will ask the Father,
and he will give you another Advocate to be with you always,
the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot accept,
because it neither sees nor knows him.
But you know him, because he remains with you,
and will be in you.
I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
In a little while the world will no longer see me,
but you will see me, because I live and you will live.
On that day you will realize that I am in my Father
and you are in me and I in you.
Whoever has my commandments and observes them
is the one who loves me.
And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father,
and I will love him and reveal myself to him.”

Have you ever heard of a conspiracy theory?  For example, one conspiracy theory is that there are certain celebrities and world leaders that are part of a secret society determined on world domination.  According to this notion they want to establish a “New World Order” in which they will have power and authority over all people.  Well to that I say, nonsense!  Brothers and sisters do you not know that the “order” of Heaven and Earth has already been established by our heavenly Father and is being guided today by the Holy Spirit: the Spirit of Truth, the Advocate, the Paraclete; our mediator, intercessor, comforter, and consoler. It is God who will dwell within our hearts and guide our every word and deed if only we accept the Spirit of Truth.  And what is Truth? God is Truth! And what did God command of us? To Love without limits!  This is the new world order of our Lord Jesus Christ!  Our Lord in His great Mercy wants all His flock to experience the magnificent design of God; a harmony and peace that can only be established and maintained by LOVE!  Brothers and sisters do not fall for the trappings and lies of the enemy; do not be afraid of falsities and conspiracy theories; open your hearts this day and receive the Spirit of Truth and let yourself and the world be conquered by LOVE!  Blessings.
